Welcome to the Leicestershire Pastel Society web site where you will find information about our artists and their work. Our members are artists who live in Leicestershire and Rutland. We will keep you updated on news and details of coming events of both the society and its' members.

Annual Exhibition 2009 Once again we held our popular Annual Exhibition in Leicester. Again we attracted a strong public interest with visitors and buyers drawn from a wide geographical area, including some from abroad. The Exhibition was opened by Lars Tharp, from BBC's Antiques Road Show who entertained us all with humorous anecdotes before awarding the prizes.

Peter Barker has had a painting accepted for The Pastel Society, at the Mall Gallery. 'Approach to Empingham' shown below. See news for information about Peter's exhibitions and demonstrations.

The approach to Empingham shows a timeless view of English countryside in Summer at its best.

Kathie's pebbles on a beach are so realistic you feel you can just grab a handful.
