Geoffrey’s subjects include landscape, townscape and nocturnes. He occasionally paints interiors and life figures. He works in both soft and oil pastels on a variety of supports. Geoffrey prefers to apply pastel over random marks or areas of colour using gouache, inks or acrylic and sometimes torn paper collage. Geoffrey usually interprets subjects in a semi impressionist manner, but likes to experiment from time to time.
Geoffrey has been a member of The Pastel Society since 1976 and a member of the Leicestershire Pastel Society since 1999. He has exhibited with the Birmingham Pastel Society for the last twelve years and has taken part in many mixed exhibitions in and around London and the provinces.
