Sue is a local artist based at Easton on the Hill in Rutland. She has always maintained an interest in art and her involvement with dogs and horses has led to a deep understanding of their anatomy. Having travelled to Africa Several times, she has developed a passion for big cats. She has exhibited at the Marwell Wildlife Art Exhibition on several occasions and won several awards.
Originally painting in watercolour, when she retired she took up painting with pastels due to the encouragement of the artist Vic Bearcroft. Her use of hard and soft pastels enables her to create work of great depth of colour and detail. Sue takes commissions and exhibits with Rutland Open Studios. Her first solo exhibition iwas held at the Willoughby Gallery in Corby Glen in October 2012.
